ABOUT ME
I began working on my family history in 1989, before the internet, when you had to wait weeks to get one little piece of information through the mail, or you had to drive 8 hours to a remote cemetery only to discover half of the headstone was missing! While things have changed considerably, it can still be a daunting task to figure out where to look for information. Let me help you.
Over the past 30+ years, I have helped numerous people discover who their ancestors were. I have researched Acadian ancestors and their journey to a better life, the elusive great-grandfather from Sicily who moved to New Jersey and then disappeared, and the colorful ancestor who gave the same story to the police every time he wrecked his car.
I am based in South Louisiana and have access to many sources focusing on Acadian heritage, but I can help you with any location in the US.
I am a member of the National Genealogical Society, the Czech & Slovak American Genealogy Society of Illinois (CSAGSI), the Louisiana Genealogical & Historical Society, and the Genealogical Society of Pennsylvania.
